Orthodox Congregational Church 21 North Main St. 724-8808 Services are Sundays at 10
a.m. The choir is directed by Lauran Witts and organist Robert Lemoine.
The congregation hosts several suppers during the year and a Country Fair
on the Common. Child care and Sunday School are provided September through

May 08 Newsletter The First Congregational Parish Unitarian is home to a liberal religious tradition and is accepting of diverse individual beliefs. Sunday services are at 10 a.m., September - June. Speakers and programs on alternate Sundays. Quaker Service held Sunday mornings 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Sponsor for Common Expressions Program, an after-school program for children. CEP also has regular meetings for parents with babies. Current church "First Parish" constructed in meeting house style is the fourth building to house a worshipping community. First church was erected in 1735. Host church for inter faith Thanksgiving Service on the Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving Day. Christmas Eve Candlelight service with living creche. Handicapped accessible. Child care provided. |
Located at 18 North Streets, this church is the smallest in the Catholic Diocese of Worcester. The parish serves some 60 families and was established as a mission in 1894 and became a parish in 1914. Weekly Mass is celebrated at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday. CCD classes for school-age children are held in the church hall in winter months. The church rectory is located at Our Lady Immaculate in Athol, (978) 249-2738. |
